  • Founder and editor-in-chief, Neerlandistiek.nl (2000–2013), the first open-access peer-reviewed journal in Dutch studies.
  • Neder-L, electronic newsletter for Dutch studies (1996–2016); editor-in-chief from 2011.
  • Editor, Language Problems and Language Planning (1998–2000), editorial board (2000–2017).
  • Editor, Journal of Germanic Linguistics (2002–2004).
  • Editorial board, Lingua (2013–2015) and Studies in Linguistic Variation.

Refereeing

I referee regularly for journals including Language, Lingua, Linguistics, Natural Language and Linguistic Theory, Phonology, Probus and the Journal of Linguistics, and for the WCCFL, GLOW, NELS and IGG conferences. Grant and promotion review is listed under Leadership and Academic Service.
